I am Gemma, the founder and Director of Sign Me Happy, and proud mum of two adventurous, trailblazing daughters!

Across my life I have accrued a broad spectrum of skills and experience. Begining my life as an actor, diversifying into Primary school teaching, and with over a decades experience working as a counsellor for the NSPCC. The beautiful langugae of BSL has always fascinated me. I initally took it up as a hobby and a bit of ‘me’ time and I was immediately hooked!

Sign Me Happy marries all my experience as a performer, teacher and passionate promoter of positive mental health and wellbeing, by bringing BSL to the wider community. Promoting equality and inclusion through dynamic and creative sessions.

Our services range from BSL story sessions, Signed song workshops, BSL clubs, Sign choirs… right through to Staff training workshops, CPD sessions, and D/deaf awareness sessions for the business sector.
